Youth in Kawartha Lakes are asked to ‘Jump in & Express Yourself’
If you’re a youth in Kawartha Lakes the city is inviting you to “Jump In & Express Yourself.”
If you are between the ages of 12 to 24 years, the city wants to hear from you. The Community Safety and Well-Being Plan Advisory Committee has identified four priority areas: mental health and addictions, poverty, housing and youth, and the Advisory Committee wants to hear from the youth of the Kawartha Lakes on these priorities.
A partnership project between the Kawartha Lakes Community Safety and Well-Being Advisory Committee and Kawartha Art Gallery, the JUMP IN & Express Yourself! Exhibit asks youth to imagine an inclusive, safe, connected and sustainable community where all youth thrive.
In order to address submission challenges created by COVID-19, the deadline for all submissions has been extended to Oct.15.
Presenting the four priority areas in the form of a series of questions, youth are invited to choose a priority and to tell a new story through the creative mediums of Visual Art, Photography or Video.
