Event Details

Date: Friday August 2, 2024
Time: 9:30 a.m., brief speeches at 10 a.m.
Location: Rainbow Pedestrian Bridge (west side) on the Victoria Rail Trail, entrance is approximately 50m east of the Russell Street East and Water Street intersection in Lindsay

“The replacement of the Rainbow Pedestrian Bridge has been a long time coming. The previous version of the bridge was installed around 1946. The new bridge pays respect to the old bridge by maintaining the rainbow shape, while providing a safer and more accessible pedestrian bridge for the community,” said Deputy Mayor Charlie McDonald.
