Winter storm kept police busy

By Lindsay Advocate

The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service was kept busy on Monday April 16 during a winter storm that struck much of southern Ontario.

Members of the police service responded to 32 winter storm related calls for service, predominately for downed wires and fallen trees.

Despite the hard work of the City of Kawartha Lakes Public Works and Roads Department, snow and ice conditions continue to persist on many roadways in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, leave extra time for travel and adjust their speed to changing road conditions.
