Wing Fest flies again at Lindsay Armoury

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton and Kennedy’s Appliances and Electronics are teaming up again to bring you Wing Fest on Saturday Jan. 19 at the Victoria Park Armoury in Lindsay.

Doors open at 6 pm, wings are served at 7pm and the Westerby Entertainment Dance begins at 9 pm. Tickets should be purchased in advance to avoid disappointment, since the number of attendees is capped at 300 people. People can attend the dance only for a $10 admission charge.

Tickets are $30 each and available at the Big Brother Big Sister office at 117 Kent St. West or Kennedy’s at 24 William St. South. The ticket will give you the opportunity to try wings, courtesy of our local Loblaws Store, from various local restaurants and caterers.

Additional food will be provided by The Olympia Restaurant and possibly others for those that enjoy vegetables. There will also be a raffle for a LG 65” 4K Smart TV courtesy of Kennedy’s Flat Panel Shoppe.

There will be judging by the sponsor of the event, the emcee, a spotlight judge chosen from those that are attending and a local celebrity, as well as a People’s Choice Award that will be held by the winner for a year!

All funds raised through this event will be used to provide mentoring programs to children in our community who can benefit from a relationship with a caring adult mentor!
