Wind storm sparks high volume of calls Friday night
During the evening of Friday May 4 a wind storm swept through Lindsay.
From 6 pm Friday evening until 12 am Saturday morning the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to 21 calls for service that were storm related, such as downed power lines, damaged utility poles or fallen trees.
At one point during the evening a police vehicle was damaged after it was struck by a flying shingle from a roof in Lindsay.
The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service thanks the community for their patience while our officers and dispatchers responded to the high volume of calls for service.
