‘White Lightning’ to strike again

A second test run is now scheduled for the shopping bus, White Lightning, for August 2.

The first test run held on July 4 was considered a great success with more than 70 people accessing this service across Kawartha Lakes.

The first test run included stops from Little Britain, Lindsay, Cambray, Cameron, Fenelon Falls, Rosedale areas during three different runs covering nearly 350 kilometers.

The next test run will cover the more eastern parts of the City including Lindsay, Long Beach, Fenelon Falls,  Bobcaygeon, Dunsford, Omemee,  Bethany. The second test run will gauge the need and desire of a weekly shopping in these areas.

This transportation service is free, thanks to Dromoland, owners of the Town Trolley. For more information  of additional transportation service you can visit www.dromoland.ca or call 1-800-979-2913.

This service and allows the passengers to hop on and hop off at any or all of the stops. If you can’t hop, there is no problem as White Lightning is fully accessible. The drivers are professional, your ride is fully insured, and the whole opportunity has been volunteer led. There is also free water and healthy snack foods available during the journey.
