Weekend domestic incident lands man in custody
A weekend visit to Lindsay by a Toronto man did not end well after he was arrested early Sunday morning on domestic assault charges.
At about 3 am Sunday morning the man and his partner were visiting an Albert Street South residence. They became involved in an argument. The man followed the woman into a bedroom where the argument escalated to the point that he head-butted her in the face.
Police were contacted after the female could be heard by other residents yelling at the man to let her out of the room.
Kawartha Lakes Police arrested and charged a 46-year-old Toronto man with assault and four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
He was detained for a bail hearing and appeared in the Lindsay Court of Justice on Nov. 27.
