Celebrate the Family Day Weekend with the Five Counties Children’s Centre online from February 18-21. Winterfest 2022 will offer fun activities with the Peterborough Petes and the Lindsay Muskies, baking, craft demos, story time, contests and more.

For the second year Winterfest will be held as a virtual event. With the support of lead sponsor Canadian Tire, Winterfest 2022 will raise money for kids with physical, developmental and communication needs.

Canadian Tire stores in Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg, Campbellford and Fenelon Falls have continued to support Five Counties’ Kids as the lead sponsor of Winterfest 2022. Ralph Moulton, Peterborough South owner, says that “Just like Canadian Tire, Five Counties Children’s Centre is a part of all our communities, and we felt it was important that we come together to support our kids so they can build their abilities for life.”

Winterfest will also host it’s second online auction. Many local businesses, groups and individuals have donated items to help raise funds for the more than 4,000 kids who receive treatment from Five Counties Children’s Centre each year. It boasts a beautiful selection of quilts, wood turned items, gift baskets, toys for the kids and tons of other goodies, according to a media release.

“Although Winterfest is a virtual family event again this year, it continues to bring us together to support the kids who rely on getting the treatment they need at Five Counties now and in future.” says CEO Scott Pepin. “The centre continues to be an essential service to help children with physical, communication and developmental needs, and our communities are partners in ensuring their success.”
