Truck vandalized while waiting at red light

By Lindsay Advocate

On Feb. 1 Kawartha Lakes Police Service was contacted by a Lindsay couple who had just had their vehicle vandalized.

The couple reported to police that they had been stopped in their truck for a red light at a Lindsay intersection.

Before the couple could proceed through the intersection a man approached the truck and damaged the two side mirrors on the vehicle.

The man was known to the couple and was bound by the conditions of a recognizance to have no contact with the driver of the vehicle.

Officers located and arrested the male suspect later in the evening and charged him with mischief under $5000 and failing to comply with the conditions of his recognizance.

The male was held in custody to attend a bail hearing.  The name of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victims.
