Tom Regina has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate for Haliburton–Kawartha Lakes–Brock in the upcoming provincial election.

As a former teacher, community leader, and long-term resident of Haliburton, Regina is passionate about education and providing fair opportunities for people in his community.

“I believe that we need a government willing to put affordable homes, access to healthcare, and the protection of nature, ahead of corporate interests,” said Regina.

“We need a provincial government with a real plan to invest in our community and not just big cities like Toronto.”

“Folks in Haliburton–Kawartha Lakes–Brock deserve a strong advocate to stand up for the places and people they love,” said Ontario Greens leader Mike Schreiner. Tom is a hard-working community champion and I know he will continue to put people before politics.”

Regina worked as a teacher at Haliburton Highlands Secondary School and served as head of the Arts Department before retiring. He remains a strong voice for people in his community.
