Therapeutic Horse Riding in Lindsay (T.H.R.I.L.) fundraises to expand services
With huge thanks to volunteers and the golfers, Therapeutic Horse Riding in Lindsay (T.H.R.I.L.) had a great inaugural golf fundraising tournament in June this year. The charity’s equine-based therapy program for those with varying abilities continues to expand its services to meet the growing need in the community.
The organization’s fundraising efforts continue this fall with an upcoming open house and movie night, complete with a chili cook-off on Friday, November 3, at 6:00 p.m. A $10 per person entry fee at the door includes a tour of the farm, opportunities to visit with the horses, chili tasting, and a vote for the favourite recipe. A movie night in the indoor arena – complete with seating on hay bales and popcorn – follows at 7:30 p.m. RSVP is appreciated by emailing . Entrance fees will go towards supporting this valuable community program.
On December 9, euchre players are invited to come and support T.H.R.I.L at its annual card night at the Lindsay Curling Club. This event gets underway at 6:00 p.m. with a pizza supper and dessert followed by a progressive euchre (or bid euchre) tournament at 7:00 p.m., with door prizes, cash prizes and lots of fun.
T.H.R.I.L. requests pre-registration and payment for this event, which can be done by emailing Joan at . Cost is $40 per person for an evening of fun and fundraising and a partial tax receipt.
