‘The Highs and Lows’ of cannabis: Canadian Club meeting

The Lindsay Canadian Club meets at 7 pm on Wednesday November 14 in the Vimy Room at the Royal Canadian Legion.  November’s meeting focuses on “The Highs and Lows” surrounding the recent legalization of recreational cannabis.

A panel discussion featuring insiders in the fields of law enforcement, public health, and  marijuana distribution reflects on the challenges, opportunities, and unanswered questions surrounding legalization. 

Moderated by retired Justice Bruce Glass, panelists include Mark Mitchell (Chief of Police, City of Kawartha Lakes Police Services); Catherine MacDonald (Substances and harm Reduction Coordinator, HKPR Heath Unit); Megan Deyman (MPH Coordinator, Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland Drug Strategy); and Jeff Durish (Director of Business Development with Bodystream Medical Marijuana Services).

 The cost is $15 for single tickets., $60 for adult full-year membership and $30 for a student full-year membership. Refreshments and cash bar available.
