Globus Theatre presents The Great Palm Tree Beach Tiki Bar Tragedy, a hilarious summer murder mystery for their 20th season. Running from July 19 to July 29, this interactive show invites theater patrons to become detectives while enjoying dinner and drinks in the beautiful dining room at the Lakeview Arts Barn.
Set on Palm Tree Beach, the island’s largest tiki bar opens to sunny skies and tropical vacation vibes. However, paradise quickly turns into terror and tragedy for one partygoer. Amidst breathtaking views, someone will meet an unfortunate fate. Get ready for a mix of fun, comedy, and hijinks in this entertaining dinner theater experience, according to a media release.
The comedic murder mystery, written by Artistic Director Sarah Quick, features a talented cast of Canada’s finest improvisers and performers, including Kevin Sepaul, Jennine Profeta, Dave Pearce, Connor Thompson, and Kerry Griffin. Sarah Quick explains that their original murder mysteries offer a fresh and varied experience for their loyal fans. The performers excel in engaging the audience, ensuring everyone has a great time.
As an added bonus, attendees can embark on the Downtown Detective Trail, a fun outdoor experience written by Sarah Quick and comedian Chris Gibbs. Before heading to the Lakeview Arts Barn, follow the live clues performed by the Summer Performance Camp youth participants along Bolton Street in Bobcaygeon.
