Please see below for more information on the participating artists:

Terry Atchison

Terry is a glass artist living in Fenelon Falls, Ontario. Captivated and challenged by the whimsical and unpredictable shape-shifting nature of glass when exposed to heat and pressure, each of her creations tells a story of its own, and is influenced by a rich life immersed in nature, culture and symbolism.

Robert Ball

Robert has enjoyed working with wood since his early teens, when he learned the building trades as a summer student employee. He later put these skills to use building his summer cottage on Twelve Mile Lake. Now, in his retirement, Robert loves working on charcuterie, and cutting/serving/cheese boards, and other wood products. More information about Robert can be found under ‘Woodcraft by Robert’ on Facebook.

Elizabeth Barrett

Elizabeth has always been interested in the creative process, which she pursued at the Haliburton School of Art & Design, as well as during her years at York University where she holds a degree in Fine Arts. Along with painting, Elizabeth is a skilled stone carver. The subjects of her paintings are generally florals and landscapes, and her carvings are primarily of animals and abstracts of her own design.

Sabrina Cooper

As one who believes that whole foods are medicine, Sabrina Cooper – Certified Culinary Holistic Nutritionist and founder of Brewja Blends and Nurish Well – embraces the healing benefits of herbals. Reclaim your energy with her small batch curated tea blends. Sabrina can be found @brewja_blends and brewjablends.com.

Kate Glover

Kate has grown up on the shores of many lakes throughout her life, which is where she draws her love of driftwood and natural beauty. Kate loves to create projects from the rustic materials in her outdoor surroundings. Currently, Kate lives on a small lake in north eastern Ontario with her family, who are constantly overwhelmed with the incessant collection of driftwood everywhere.

Lorne Hamilton

Lorne took up woodturning after retirement when he had the time and interest to pursue this craft. His woodturning makes use of domestic and exotic woods in pens, bowls, candlesticks, ornaments and other various items. Lorne is involved with the Artisans Centre Peterborough and with the Kawartha Woodturners Guild in Peterborough where he enjoys hanging out with other interested woodturners sharing knowledge of the craft.

Jennifer Heintzman

Jennifer is a jeweller who loves the colours of water and light. She plays with these in glass and glaze. The shapes of her wearable art can be filled with the viewer’s imagination.

Sandi McNeil

Sandi is Kawartha Lakes artist known for her large wall weavings and beautiful fish baskets made exclusively from locally gathered, natural materials. In the last few years, Sandi has started to experiment with needle felting – creating a variety of 3D sculptures using woodland animals as inspiration. The latest are crazy-coloured chickens dressed in repurposed hand-knit socks, making their first appearance here on Sturgeon Point on July 13.

Annabelle Jane Murray

Annabelle is a painter working in acrylic paint, and her process is entirely intuitive. Her paintings are joyful and vivid representations of the natural world. The application of hundreds of tiny dots adds a final layer to each painting. Custom painted canoe paddles, vases, and print- on-demand art clothing have recently been added to her portfolio. Vanessa Slater

Vanessa’s singular cups, pots and bowls invite touch and interaction with each unique piece. Vanessa loves vibrant colours, texture and playful composition, which make her splendid pieces fun to experience visually and functionally. Her pottery studio is in Uxbridge, Ontario.
