Spring author series: Meet Yvonne Heath

By Lindsay Advocate

Kawartha Lakes Public Library is pleased to present Canadian author Yvonne Heath at the Lindsay Library on Wednesday, May 2 at 2 pm.

A registered nurse since 1988, Yvonne, disheartened by society’s reluctance to talk about, plan and prepare for grief, chose to blaze a new career path.

At age 50 she wrote her first book, Love Your Life to Death, and also became an inspirational speaker, television host, radio guest and consultant.

Through her book Yvonne hopes to empower society to live life to the fullest, learn to grieve and support others and to talk about end of life and diffuse the fear… long before it arrives, and diffuse the fear.

In Love Your Life to Death Yvonne shares her nursing journey and discovery and covers topics such as:  why we have become so scared to death of death, understanding grief, talking to children about grief, death and dying, and choosing our end-of-life scenario.

“When we talk about, plan and prepare for life, grief and end of life, something extraordinary happens. We diffuse our fear so we can live fully now! Have “The Talk” before grief arrives!”

Following the presentation, enjoy light refreshments and an opportunity to meet the author.  For more information about Ms. Heath and her book, visit www.loveyourlifetodeath.com.
