Splash pads are open in Kawartha Lakes
With hot weather around the corner, Kawartha Lakes is excited to announce that Splash Pads are now open for the summer. Splash Pads are located throughout the municipality, with facilities in Lindsay, Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls. Stay cool this summer by visiting one of the below Splash Pads:
Tommy Anderson Park Splash Pad
The Tommy Anderson Park Splash Pad at 94 Dunn Street in Bobcaygeon includes washrooms, a playground, a skateboard park, a sports field and a picnic shelter. The Tommy Anderson Park Splash Pad will be open from 8 am to 8 pm throughout the summer season until mid-September.
Garnet Graham Park Splash Pad
Located in Fenelon Falls at 98 Francis Street West, the Garnet Graham Park Splash Pad features washrooms, a playground, a beach volleyball court, a skateboard park, a beach and a picnic shelter. The Garnet Graham Park Splash Pad will be open from 8 am to 8 pm throughout the summer season until mid-September.
Elgin Park Splash Pad to open in July
The Elgin Park Splash Pad, located at 162 Angeline Street North in Lindsay, has many amenities including washrooms, a playground and a picnic shelter that can be booked for private events.
The Splash Pad at Elgin Park is currently being replaced and upgraded to feature both child and tot spray features. Next to the new Splash Pad, there will be accessible washrooms and a family change room. This project is being completed in partnership with the Rotary Club of Lindsay and is scheduled to open in July 2019. Stay tuned to our newsroom for more information on the grand opening.
