Significant money in federal budget to benefit Kawartha Lakes

The recent federal budget by the federal Liberals means a significant amount of money is coming for cities, including Kawartha Lakes in a broad range of areas.

Deputy-mayor Patrick O’Reilly reported that the budget has a great deal of money earmarked to benefit Kawartha Lakes for affordable housing, broadband, tourism, transit and long-term care.

O’Reilly highlighted that “300 homes in Thurstonia will be able to access high speed internet for the first time because of federal spending.”
