City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a Lindsay business yesterday after it was reported a man had been arrested by an employee for theft.

The investigating officer learned that a store employee had observed the male conceal a number of items on his person and leave the store without making payment.

A 33-year-old Lindsay man was issued an appearance notice by police and charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

The accused will attend for his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice on Feb. 22.
