Cocaine seized at Lindsay home
A search warrant executed at a Durham Street east residence in Lindsay yesterday resulted in two arrests and the seizure of cocaine.
Members of Kawartha Lakes Police Service drug enforcement unit and criminal investigation branch obtained a warrant to search a Durham Street East home after conducting an investigation into the sale of controlled substances from the residence.
In addition to the seizure of cocaine and a large sum of proceeds of crime, two occupants of the residence were arrested.
Now, 29-year-old Catherine Ann Banks of Lindsay and 29-year-old Nyja Brown of Scarborough have been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Banks and Brown were each released on a promise to appear and will make their first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice on Feb. 22.
