Robbery investigation as police need help identifying suspect

On Wednesday April 20 at 8:51am Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a William Street North convenience store in Lindsay, regarding a robbery that had just occurred. A lone male suspect was last seen exiting the store running eastbound on Wellington Street.

The suspect is described as male, white, approximately 5’8”, medium build, entered the store wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with “Zoo York” logo, grey sweatpants, and a black facemask. The suspect approached the counter, brandished a weapon demanding money and cigarettes from the clerk before leaving the store.

There were no physical injuries reported.

Kawartha Lakes Police Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene and collected physical evidence. Officers searched the area and located clothing matching the clothing worn by the suspect in the convenience store.
