RMH’s Veronica Nelson named acting president and CEO for HHHS
Carolyn Plummer takes leave of absence from Haliburton hospital
Ross Memorial Hospital’s vice president and chief operating officer, Veronica Nelson, is now serving as acting president and CEO of Haliburton Highlands Health Services, as Carolyn Plummer takes a leave of absence as HHHS president due to personal health issues.
A media release states that Nelson will be temporarily seconded from her current role at the Ross and will continue overseeing the Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory Departments at both RMH and Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS).
RMH and HHHS share many services, as well as the Epic Clinical Information System that has been implemented at seven partner hospitals throughout the Central East Ontario region.
“Ross Memorial Hospital and Haliburton Highlands Health Services have a longstanding, supportive relationship dedicated to providing the best care possible to our neighbouring communities. The Ross couldn’t be more confident in Veronica’s ability to support HHHS in their time of need. We also want to extend our best wishes to Carolyn Plummer as she takes care of her health,” says Kelly Isfan, president and CEO, Ross Memorial Hospital.
Nelson says, “Ross Memorial Hospital and Haliburton Highlands Health Services are both organizations that mean a great deal to me. I am excited to bring my skillset and experience to working with the HHHS board of directors and team members throughout the organization. I know how incredibly important HHHS and its services are to patients, residents, and the community.”
