Regional Economic Development update

The Eastern Ontario Leadership Council (EOLC) was recently recognized at the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) conference in Toronto where EOLC received the Collaboration and Partnership Award. 

The collaborative focus of EOLC creates an opportunity for synergies to emerge between Kawartha Lakes and its regional counterparts, enhancing and aligning economic development across the region.

Kawartha Lakes will also benefit from the $135,000 recently secured by EOLC to refresh and implement an updated Regional Economic Development Strategy, the first of seven regional economic development plans that will be created across the province.

The efforts of the EOLC continue to promote economic development in Kawartha Lakes and will play an important role in helping the city reach economic development goals.
