Pinecrest marks four days in a row without death from COVID-19

By Lindsay Advocate

For the fourth day in a row, Mary Carr, administrator of Pinecrest Nursing Home in Bobcaygeon, has reported there are no new deaths due to COVID-19.

“Our front-line staff continue to monitor all residents carefully and are diligently working to provide the highest quality care and comfort to our residents. I want to thank our staff again for continuing to serve our community and our residents with dedication and kindness,” she says in a media release.

Carr says the home is in daily contact with Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit and the Ministry of Health “to ensure all new and ongoing care directives are implemented and that our staff have a clear understanding of these directions.”

“I know that this update is hopeful news for the community and we continue to receive messages of love and encouragement. We will not forget the outpouring of support from the community and look forward to getting through this together.”

Well, that is a good thing now, if we can get the Opioid deaths down.
