Pickering man arrested for robbery and aggravated assault

On May 20 the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service received an emergency 911 call to attend a residence on Lindsay Street south in Lindsay.

When officers arrived at the home they discovered that an occupant had been stabbed several times and the man responsible for the assault had fled from the residence.

The incident was investigated and a warrant was obtained for the arrest of the suspect.  On June 26 the suspect was located by police and arrested.

Charged with aggravated assault, robbery, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, failing to comply with the conditions of his recognizance and failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order is 35-year-old Andrew Cedric Bell-Scott of Pickering.

The accused was held in custody to attend a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 26.
