Pedestrian struck and killed in Little Britain now identified
Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on scene in Little Britain investigating a collision that occurred at approximately 6:10 pm last evening.
Officers, EMS and Fire attended the scene on Little Britain Road, where a vehicle collided with a pedestrian. The victim was transported to a Toronto area hospital with life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported at the collision.
The pedestrian was later pronounced deceased, and has been identified as Hugh MANLEY, 68 years-of-age, of Fenelon Township.
Little Britain Road was closed for several hours from Eldon Road to Valentia Road, while OPP members trained in collision reconstruction documented the scene.
