Pair held for bail after drug arrest
A man and woman from Lindsay both spent the weekend in jail on drug-related charges after being arrested Friday afternoon.
The Kawartha Lakes Police Criminal Investigations Branch became involved in a drug investigation, which resulted in a vehicle being stopped on Ridout Street shortly after 2 pm Friday.
Both the male and female occupants of the vehicle were arrested when a search revealed a quantity of cocaine and cash related to the sale of drugs.
The female that was arrested and charged at the time was also found to be a surety for the male on other outstanding drug-related charges. Both the male and female were detained in custody for a bail hearing.
