New Human Services offices open soon in Lindsay

On September 17, the new Human Services administration offices will open at 68 Lindsay Street North in Lindsay.

The municipality’s Human Services Department offers a variety of programs for those living in Kawartha Lakes and the County of Haliburton, including children’s services, Ontario Works, housing services and KLH Housing Corp. A list of full services offered at the new Human Services office is available at www.kawarthalakes.ca/humanservices.

All municipal services previously offered at 322 Kent Street West will be provided at 68 Lindsay Street North, as well as all services previously offered at the Housing Help office at 37 Lindsay Street South. Email contact information will be unchanged. The mailing address for the office will be PO Box 2600, 68 Lindsay St. N., Lindsay ON, K9V 4S7.

To facilitate the moves, the offices at 322 Kent Street West and 37 Lindsay Street South will be closed on Friday September 13 and Monday September 16, 2019. The new office will open for service on Tuesday September 17, 2019.

The grand opening for the Human Services office will be celebrated in the fall.
