Neighbour dispute leads to mischief charge

By Lindsay Advocate

On June 7 members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a neighbour dispute at an address in Lindsay.

Officers were informed that a disagreement between two households escalated to the point that the occupant of one property damaged a vehicle belonging to an occupant of the neighbouring property.

The investigating officer determined that grounds existed to believe a mischief to property had occurred and on June 10 a Lindsay woman was arrested for the offence.

The accused has been charged with one count of mischief to property under $5000.

She will make her first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 5. In order to protect the identity of the victim, the name of the accused in this matter is not being released.
