Ministry of Labour investigating workplace fatality

On Tuesday June 30 at approximately 2:30 pm the Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded with Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue Service and Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service to an industrial address on St. David Street in Lindsay, after a worker at the facility suffered a workplace injury.

Unfortunately, the injured worker’s injuries were fatal and the person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development was notified of the incident, and an inspector attended to investigate.

The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.
