Lock it or lose it, say police

One simple and preventative step can protect vehicle owners from being victimized.

The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service is reminding local residents to lock their vehicles.

The theft of loose change or other valuables can easily be prevented by ensuring your vehicle doors are locked.  It takes only seconds for a thief to open the door and remove valuable contents from an unlocked vehicle.

Please lock your vehicles and encourage your friends, family and neighbours to do the same!
