Lindsay’s Santa Claus Parade kicks off Nov. 17

By Lindsay Advocate

Christmas returns to Kawartha Lakes Sunday November 17 when Lindsay’s 64th annual Santa Claus parade kicks off at 2 pm.  This year’s theme is “Christmas at the Movies.”

The parade will showcase more than 40 registered floats and bands, including the addition of the Newbeaver Shrine Club Musical Train, a 70 foot train engine and coach car playing upbeat music. The unique and popular Tallbeat returns to perform on their music on stilts and many other crowd favourites will participate again this year. Don’t forget, Santa Claus himself closing out the festivities!

Starting at the Recreation Complex on Adelaide Street South and travelling North on Adelaide to Kent Street, the parade will go East down Kent to Lindsay Street – right through the heart of downtown Lindsay.

Participating again this year are the Kawartha Bakery who will be handing out their rainbow bread and Kawartha Dairy who will be handing out their milk.

And perhaps most important, the Lindsay Canada Post Depot will be accepting “Letters to Santa”. Make sure yours are ready to go!

The parade is presented by Baker Tilly KDN LLP (formerly Collins Barrow) and is made possible by the many organizations and individuals participating in and supporting the event. If you are interested in volunteering your time, entering a float in the parade or have any questions please contact . All volunteers and participants are welcome!

Contributions to support the parade can be dropped off to the Lindsay Santa Claus Parade Committee at Baker Tilly, 237 Kent St. W., or at Scotia Bank Lindsay.
