Lindsay woman charged as police find shotgun
A 43-year-old Lindsay woman has been charged with several firearms-related and drug charges after Kawartha Lakes Police executed a search warrant at a Georgian Street home recently.
The investigation began when police received information the woman was in possession of a shotgun that she was not legally entitled to possess. Police obtained a search warrant, and found a 12-gauge shotgun, a small quantity of marijuana and a small quantity of cannabis resin.
Brenda Horslen has been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, possession of marijuana and possession of cannabis resin. She will appear in the Lindsay, Court of Justice on Dec. 21.
