Lindsay Transit to offer Sunday service beginning July 7
Lindsay Transit will begin to offer Sunday service to residents starting on July 7. The new service on Sundays will be provided between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. There is also an addition of one specialized transit service route being offered on Sundays and can be requested through the current booking process.
“We have identified a further need for our community regarding weekend operations that we hope this new addition of service will help fulfill,” stated Todd Bryant, Manager of Fleet and Transit Services for Kawartha Lakes.
The regular transit service operating from Monday to Saturday will continue under the same hours of operations, running from 7 am to 7 pm.
As well as implementing Sunday service, Lindsay Transit will also be operating an additional Specialized Transit or LIMO on Saturdays between 11 am and 2:30 pm to help meet the needs of residents using the weekend transit services.
The Blue Bus line has also been extended to now include 6 new stops. Previously, the Blue Bus’ last stop was located on Parkside Drive, whereas effective July 2019, will now continue south to Logie Street, turning around at Deacon Cresent until construction is completed and heading back towards Queen Street East.
