Lindsay man taken in on arrest warrant

On February 3 the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service received the report of a break and enter to a residence on Hamilton Street in Lindsay.

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch investigated this offence and identified a suspect who was in possession of property stolen from the home.  A warrant was issued for the arrest of this man.

On Saturday March 31, a member of the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service observed the man he knew to be wanted on the strength of the outstanding arrest warrant connected to the break and enter.

The officer arrested the man without incident.

Charged with three counts of possession of a credit card obtained by crime, three counts of fraudulent use of credit card, failing to comply with his recognizance and failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order is 29-year-old Troy Timothy Sprague of Lindsay.

The accused was held in custody to attend a bail hearing on April 1.
