Lindsay Garden Tour set for July 6
The Lindsay Garden Club is holding its Lindsay Garden Tour on July 6 , from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Celebrating its 10th year, the Lindsay Garden Tour offers the rare opportunity to visit eight of the most beautiful gardens in Lindsay and surrounding areas. From serene Japanese inspired gardens to more traditional gardens bursting with colour, this garden tour has a garden to wow any gardening enthusiast.
The Lindsay Garden Tour has been enjoyed by local gardening enthusiasts since its inception and is one of the club’s biggest annual fundraisers, with over 100 participants attending the event each year. First inspired by Ken and Joyce Harrison as a “member only” event the event grew under the leadership of Betty Scribbins who opened the event to the public in 2017 for all to enjoy. Currently the event is convened by Lucille Fowler.
At this year’s event, a master gardener will be staffing one of the gardens to answer gardening inquiries. Local artists will be displaying original pieces, prints, greeting cards and garden art, including the unique artwork of chainsaw carver, Griffin Webster. Complimentary refreshments and restrooms will be available at St. Paul’s Anglican Church to tour participants from 11 a.m. – 2 pm. Tour participants can enter a draw to win one of two gift baskets by dropping off their ballot at one of the featured gardens.
Tickets for this special event are $20 each and can be purchased at the following retailers: Cathy Allan Ladieswear, Home Hardware, Euro Delight, Appleseed Quilts, Kawartha Classic Flowers, Hill’s Florist & Nursery, and the Kent Florist.
