Lindsay Curling Club enters men’s team in Everest Club Championship
Lindsay’s Curling Club has entered a men’s team in the Everest Club Championship, an annual curling tournament held regionally, provincially/territorially and nationally in Canada.
The championship features the top club level curlers starting at the regional level. Teams can only have one player who has played in a provincial/territorial men’s, women’s or senior’s event that season or the previous season or in a Grand Slam of Curling event the year of the championship or in the previous year.
The objective was to support the development of grassroots curling across Canada. The first event was held in 2009. Each province/territory holds a series of playdowns where only one team per curling club is allowed an entry.
