Linda Kash comedy troupe brings the laughs as part of Globus Theatre’s Comedy October

By Lindsay Advocate

After a summer of comedy, music and fun, Globus Theatre keeps the laughter coming by launching its fall season with Comedy October. For three nights only, audiences can enjoy two different stand-up and improv experiences.

First up is Girls Nite Out, the all-female, all funny stand-up and improv comedy ensemble featuring CBC darlings and Canadian Comedy Award Winners. Girls Night Out was the brainchild of Globus Theatre’s Artistic Director Sarah Quick and her long-time colleague, and all-around funny gal, comedienne Jennine Profeta. It originated as part of Globus Theatre’s second season at the Lakeview Arts Barn and has since toured across Canada to great acclaim – now it’s back home for its 16th year. A show that is certain to sell out, audiences have two nights to choose from, October 21st and 22nd

Klusterfork’s Hilarious Hallowe’en is next up on Saturday, October 29th. Theatregoers will laugh their bats off watching some of Canada’s most beloved comedic improvisors create characters and scenes from thin air following suggestions from the audience. Klusterfork is the comedy company created by comedy legend Linda Kash and we are delighted to welcome them to our stage! Known as Canada’s beloved Philly Cream Cheese Angel, Linda’s credits include the Rick Mercer Report, The Ron James Show, FARGO Season III opposite Ewan McGregor; Hatching, Matching & Dispatching with Mary Walsh; and directing Colin Mochrie in HYPROV for Just For Laughs and The Edinburgh Festival 2016. Globus Theatre is excited to offer what is sure to be a memorable night of spooktacular Halloween comedy. Patrons are encouraged to dress up in their most creative costumes and fill their loot bag full of laughs.

For those who are looking to participate even more, all three nights have the added opportunity of joining an Improv MasterClass. For one hour prior to dinner and the show, audience members can try their hand at the style of comedy they’ll be watching later that night as one of the performers themselves leads a workshop full of tips, tricks and improv games.

Tickets can now be booked online at www.globustheatre.com or by calling the box office:  705-738-2037
