The Kawartha Lakes Public Library has introduced a new program for families.

STEAM kits are toys and activities that build skills in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.

This service is completely free to community members. All you need to participate is a library card.

To place a hold on a STEAM kit item just select ‘book now’ under the item you would like on the library’s website.

STEAM kits can be picked up at any one of the city’s 14 library locations. You will be asked to indicate your preferred branch when you place a hold. Library staff will contact you when the kit becomes available to you.

“We hope that these deliver positive, hands-on learning experiences that will provide opportunities for discovery and challenges” says Lyndsay Bowen, library specialist at the Kawartha Lakes Public Library.
