Large amount of cocaine seized during arrest

On May 24 the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a drug investigation at a business on Kent Street West in Lindsay.

During the investigation, officers arrested a man who was suspected of trafficking a controlled substance.

The man was found to be in possession of 22.8 grams of cocaine, worth an estimated street value of $2500.00.

Charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with the conditions of his recognizance is 29-year-old Randy Laughlin of Lindsay.

The accused was held in custody to attend a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
