After 20 years of serving the Kawartha Lakes eyewear community for another business, Holly Wreggitt decided to follow her dream of starting her own optical store.
Over time, she had become somewhat disillusioned with what she determined to be a “profit over product” mentality.
In April of 2022 she and her partner Jeff Johnston opened the doors of Kingsway Optical in Bobcaygeon.
“Jeff and I are so grateful to the whole community for their continued support in our first year of business.”
From the extensive selection of frame styles, colours and trends and the added convenience of an on-site lab, Kingsway Optical provides fast, friendly, and affordable eyewear to a growing number of eyewear consumers.
As well, Kingsway has been able to provide an “at home” service to patients who find it difficult to make the trip to the shop.
Wreggitt helps her patients choose a frame to suit their style and then guides them through the critical process of choosing the perfect lenses for their individual lifestyle.
“That’s what I find most rewarding,” she says.
