Kawartha Land Trust’s popular Passport to Nature returns for its second year
Connecting to nature through poetry, learning about the power of pollinators, and discovering how to identify trees in winter are just some of the events that are part of Kawartha Land Trust’s (KLT) 2024-2025 Passport to Nature, now back for its second year.
KLT’s Passport to Nature is a series of free, guided events and nature adventures in the Kawarthas. Consider it your “passport” to enjoy nature in the Kawarthas.
KLT’s Passport to Nature booklet lists all the events for 2024 and into early 2025 to provide residents of, and visitors to, the Kawarthas with opportunities to explore different areas in the region and connect with engaging local experts who are passionate about nature. A number of the events take place on properties protected by Kawartha Land Trust.
“The success of Kawartha Land Trust’s first Passport to Nature last year was truly inspiring and we knew we had tapped into people’s shared interest in getting out into nature,” said Anna Lee, KLT’s Director of People and Operations.
“Kawartha Land Trust protects land throughout the Kawarthas for future generations, and we want to invite you to explore nature with us again this year.”
KLT’s Passport to Nature booklets will be available widely throughout the Kawarthas around mid-May. The digital guide and all events can be viewed on KLT’s website: kawarthalandtrust.org/connect-with-nature/passport-to-nature/.
“From everyone at Kawartha Land Trust, we sincerely thank and acknowledge the volunteers, event facilitators, and community organizations that have made KLT’s Passport to Nature possible this year, as well as sponsor, Cambium Consulting & Engineering,” said Lee.
