New ‘tax payers group’ petitions Province for audit

The Kawartha Lakes Taxpayers group, led by Bill Denby, is circulating a petition requesting the Province conduct a forensic accounting audit of every department and division in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

The petition, written almost entirely in capital letters and containing many exclamation marks, is dated Oct. 27, 2018. It is focused on the last four years of Council’s operation.

This plea for a line by line audit by the Province has been “circulated throughout Kawartha Lakes” according to the petition.
