Kawartha Lakes council hosts meeting to hear public input on proposed 2024 Budget

The public is invited to a meeting in the council chambers at city hall on November 8, at which the proposed 2024 city budget will be discussed.

Members of the public are welcome to attend an evening meeting about the proposed 2024 city budget, taking place in the city hall council chamber (26 Francis Street) on Wednesday November 8, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will also be livestreamed via the municipality’s YouTube channel.

The meeting will begin with an overview of the draft 2024 budget by Ron Taylor, chief administrative officer, and Sara Beukeboom, director of corporate services.

Presentations will be made by Kawartha Lakes Food Source, Kawartha Lakes Museum and Archives, BGC Kawarthas and the Community Foundation of Kawartha Lakes.

The meeting will then be open to delegations. Members of the public are welcome to speak to Council for five minutes on a topic related to the budget. To make a deputation relating to the draft 2024 budget submit a deputation request form by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 8, 2023. The form is available here.

For in-person attendance at the meeting the deadline to register to make a deputation relating to the Draft 2024 Budget for the City of Kawartha Lakes will be 6:45 pm on Wednesday November 8, 2023. A sign-up sheet will be available for the in-person registration.

To submit correspondence relating to the Draft 2024 submit a copy to by 12:00 pm on Wednesday November 8, 2023.
