Kawartha Art Gallery announces 2024 exhibit lineup

By Lindsay Advocate

The Kawartha Art Gallery (KAG) is excited to announce its full lineup of exhibits for 2024. From fascinating individual artist exhibits to our popular annual juried exhibits, there’s something for everyone this year.

It is an exciting time for KAG. Due to overwhelming national demand to be part of the line-up, the curatorial team is now booking exhibits as far ahead as 2026. KAG is also proud to pay fees matching the Canadian Artists Representation / Le Front des Artistes canadiens (CARFAC) levels. This important step ensures that KAG is in line with other national galleries, and is an important step in continuing to financially support our local artists.

“The exceptional exhibition experience that Kawartha Art Gallery is able to provide for our area artists is due to the support and ongoing commitment of the cultural sector of the City of Kawartha Lakes by our municipal government and community,” says Susan Taylor, executive director of the Kawartha Art Gallery. “It is this spirit of teamwork that elevates our community in meeting the cultural needs of our community today and tomorrow.”

The Kawartha Art Gallery, in addition to exhibits, also hosts live events for the community. Crazy Creative, a free drop-in for children aged 7-13 happens on most Saturdays, with food and financial donation going to A Place Called Home. KAG is also delighted to be bringing back their popular Music Series, as well as Artist Networking events. All exhibits also have special artist meet and greets.
