Janetville woman charged with impaired driving

On May 23 at 8 pm a witness contacted the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service to report a suspected impaired driver travelling on Angeline Street south in Lindsay.

Officers attended the area and spoke with the driver of the suspect vehicle after it was located in a parking lot on Kent Street.

The suspect driver was arrested after the investigating officer determined the driver had more than the legal limit of alcohol in her body.

Charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol and care and control of a motor vehicle while her ability was impaired by alcohol is 74-year-old Susan Beattie of Janetville.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 28.
