Imperial Stylish Fit alters tailoring business to make face masks
What do you do if your alteration and tailoring business has been forced to close during the pandemic?
If you’re Nasir and Shafiqua Ahmad of Imperial Stylish Fit, you get creative and sew face masks, and then do contactless sales from your shop.
The Ahmads offer face masks in three styles and in 35 patterns. All masks are double-layered fabric, reversible and washable; all have a wire sewn in that can be pinched for closer fit around the nose.
Prices range from $4 for a microfibre version to $6 for pleated cotton masks and $7.50 for unpleated ones (which are more complicated to cut and sew).
Customers can see the full line and place orders at www.imperialsfalteration.com for pickup at the shop, located at 60 Russell St. in Lindsay.
Or, visit the shop and select from masks displayed behind the windows.
