Impaired driver arrested after tip from the public

On Friday June 22, shortly after 9:30 pm the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service was contacted by a concerned citizen who believed they were following an impaired driver on Little Britain Road near Lindsay.

Because of the information provided by the concerned caller, an officer located the suspected impaired driver a short distance away in the area of Tracey’s Hill Road and Highway 7.

The investigating officer believed the driver was impaired by alcohol and arrested him.

Charged with operating a motor-vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood is 50-year-old Ronald Narinesingh of Scarborough.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 26.
