Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes announces annual golf tournament
The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes is excited to announce the return of its Annual Golf Tournament, taking place on Friday, August 21, at Lindsay Golf and Country Club.
Presented by Kennedy Custom Carpentry Inc., this much-loved community event brings together animal lovers, local businesses, golfers and supporters for a fun-filled day in support of the animals cared for by the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes.
Participants will enjoy 18 holes of golf, a shared power cart, access to the driving range, a BBQ lunch, sit-down dinner, contests, prizes, a silent auction and more. Registration opens at 11:00 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.
“We are incredibly grateful to Kennedy Custom Carpentry Inc. for presenting this year’s tournament and helping us continue our lifesaving work,” said Tina MacFarlane, fundraising manager at the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes. “Events like this make a direct impact on the animals in our care by helping provide food, shelter, medical care and the second chances they deserve.”
The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes receives no ongoing government funding for shelter operations and relies on the generosity of donors, sponsors, community events and supporters to continue caring for hundreds of animals each year.
Early bird registration is available until July 15, at a rate of $175 per golfer. After July 15, registration will increase to $200 per golfer.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and community members interested in supporting the event while gaining valuable community exposure.
