Holiday events in Kawartha Lakes
The 2024 holiday season is upon us, check out some of the upcoming parades and events happening in Kawartha Lakes:
Sunday November 24
Kirkfield Lions Club Festival of Lights
Event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Kirkfield Lions Hall, the tree lighting and caroling start at 4:30 p.m.
Non-perishable food donations are welcome.
Saturday November 30
Fenelon Falls Santa Day (25 Year Anniversary)
Downtown activities run from 11am to 4pm.
Parade starts at 5:00 p.m. at West Street and Lindsay Street and will travel along Lindsay Street and Colborne Street
Fireworks start at 6pm.
Sunday December 1
Coboconk Santa Claus Parade
Parade starts at 1:00 p.m. at the Civitan Club and travels along Highway 35, ending at the Legion. Children are invited into the Legion to meet Santa after the parade.
Sunday December 1
Pontypool Breakfast with Santa and Santa Claus Parade
Breakfast with Santa runs from 8am to 12:15 p.m., tickets can be bought at the November 16 Christmas Craft Show.
Parade starts at 6:00 p.m. in downtown Pontypool.
Thursday December 5 to Saturday December 7
Christmas in the Village
Kinmount Tree Lighting, Thursday December 5 at 6:30 p.m., Kinmount Train Station
Kinmount holiday events, Saturday December 7:
- Breakfast with Santa 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kinmount Legion Hall
- Farmer’s Market Christmas Open House 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Kinmount Community Centre
- Visit Santa at the Kinmount Legion 2:00 p.m.; pre-registration by e-mail is required by November 16
Friday December 6
Christmas in the Hall and Omemee Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Event starts at 6:00 p.m. at Coronation Hall.
Saturday December 7
Omemee Santa Claus Parade
Event starts at 1:00 p.m. at Scott Young Public School.
Saturday December 7
Join Kawartha Conservation at the Ken Reid Conservation Area for Christmas at Ken Reid.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm and includes free activities like horse drawn wagon rides, a scavenger hunt, kids craft corner, Christmas story walks, visits with Santa, musical entertainment and more!
Don’t forget to check out the Illuminated Forest at Ken Reid Conservation Area in December. Open nightly from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Friday December 13
Little Britain Santa Claus Parade and Skate with Santa event, Little Britain Arena
Parade starts at 7:00 p.m. and the skate will be from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday December 14
Bobcaygeon Santa Claus Parade
Santa’s Breakfast 8am to 12pm at the Bobcaygeon Legion.
Parade starts at 5:00 p.m. at Kawartha Dairy; fireworks start immediately following the parade at Bobcaygeon Beach Park at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Accepting food and toy donations for local families in need.
Saturday December 21
Woodville Santa Claus Parade
Parade starts at 6:30 p.m.
Sunday December 22
Dunsford Santa Claus Parade
Parade starts at 12:45 p.m. at the Community Centre.
Santa Day at the Dunsford Community Centre follows the parade.
The Santa Day event includes free activities for all, including a bouncy castle, face painting, carnival games, colouring contests, treats and a visit from Santa.
Those planning on attending any of the events are asked to remember to bundle up and be prepared for the winter weather.
