Hobart’s Steakhouse partners with Food Source for dinner event

Hobart’s Steakhouse is partnering with Kawartha Lakes Food Source to host their first annual dinner event.

Hobart’s will be offering a special menu for this event and the restaurant will only be open to those with tickets.

This special dinner will take place Thursday Sept. 20. Tickets will be $75 each and can be purchased at Hobart’s or the Kawartha Lakes Food Source. Cocktails are at 6:30 pm and dinner will be served at 7:15 pm.

The Kawartha Lakes Food Source relies heavily on donations and fundraising events to be able to supply food to foodbanks throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes.

The Food Source receives no regular funding from any level of government, although it has received one-time grants on various occasions. The Food Source supports public food banks as well various community agencies that provide food to their clients.

Items from the Food Source are also used in many school breakfast programs.

Events such as this dinner help raise money and support the community while at the same time providing people with fantastic dining and an evening out, according to Food Source.
